The Big Island of Hawaii has many wondrous black sand beaches. Some are only accessible by 4- wheel drive and one is even only accessible by boat. This adventure is designed so that anyone can experience the magic of three of the islands most beautiful beaches quite easily. You will also drive around more than half the island and experience many beautiful sites and wonders along the journey. Depending on your pickup location this day typically averages over 200 miles of scenic driving around the island. • Makolea Black Sand Beach on the Kona Coast • Punalu'u Black Sand Beach and Turtle Sanctuary on the South Side • One of the islands newest and most stunning beaches created in 1955, Kehena Black Sand Beach on the East Side (It is recommended that participants wear good shoes for a hike that descends several hundred feet from the parking area to the beach, which is moderately difficult. Participants with mobility differences may not be able to access this beach). Enjoy this private tour in a comfortable air-conditioned van with your expert private tour guide.
